What are your thoughts regarding the purchase of a one-bedroom versus a two-bedroom condo-hotel unit?

For the investment-minded condo hotel buyers, I always suggest studios and one bedroom units over two bedroom units because they tend to be rented out more frequently. My logic is that there are more people who wish to spend less on vacation than there are those who are willing to splurge for the larger unit. There are many wealthy individuals for whom spending more money for more space is not a problem, but they are in the minority. Rather than purchasing a two-bedroom unit, I recommend buying two studios, two one-bedrooms or a combination of each as in a one-bedroom with a lock-out unit, if you are in the position to do so. I firmly believe that you are more likely to earn more revenue this way than you would if you bought a two-bedroom unit that could not be sold as anything other than a two-bedroom unit.
