The prestigious, global brand Wyndham Hotels & Resorts will soon begin development on the Wingate by Wyndham. It is a to-be-built, upscale condo hotel in Punta Cana, a popular, well-established community on the eastern coast of the Dominican Republic known for its pristine beaches, turquoise waters and vibrant local culture.

The condo hotel will have 5 stories, plus a 6th floor with a terrace and pool. The residences will consist of 86 suites – 81 studios and 5 one-bedroom suites. All units will be eligible for participation in the onsite rental program, allowing owners to use their tropical vacation home when they’d like and recent rent revenue when they’re not there.

Wingate by Wyndham will target tourists and business travelers. It will offer a full complement of luxury amenities and services including:

A shopping center next to the property has a hair salon, pharmacy, bakery, restaurants, shops, offices, medical clinics and virtual golf.

The suites at Wingate by Wyndham will each have a private terrace and a fully-equipped kitchen with island. They’ll be delivered fully-furnished , professionally decorated and ready for use. Select suites will have rooftop or ground-floor private pools.

The Wingate location has close proximity to a 20-mile stretch of beaches as well as shops, restaurants, golf and other area attractions. Additionally, the town of Punta Cana is itself a world-class destination. Located at the easternmost tip of the Dominican Republic, it abuts the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean.

The Bávaro area and Punta Cana together form the popular La Costa del Coco, or the Coconut Coast. It’s a region that offers numerous activities for adventure seekers, such as: zip-lining, windsurfing, kayaking, reef diving, whale-watching, sailing, and horseback and ATV riding.

Construction on Wingate by Wyndham is expected to begin in June 2025 with completion scheduled for June 2027. Those dates are best estimates and are based on the date the resort receives its Confotur certification by the Dominican Republic government.

Confotur is a tourism incentive law that grants foreign investors significant tax exemptions and residency benefits for their property purchase.

Prices for the condo hotel units start at $205,000 for studios (409-566 sq. ft.) and $369,500 for one-bedroom suites (566 sq. ft.). There are also two-story, one-bedroom suites (566 sq. ft.) with rooftop terrace and private pool for $389,000.
