I recently had my 53rd birthday, and while I’m not about to have a mid-life crisis, I’d be lying if I didn’t admit I feel the years creeping up on me. To keep the aches and pains of aging away, my wife Jackie and I have become more committed than ever to eating a healthy diet and exercising regularly.

It’s for that reason, that today’s featured property, a development being marketed as “the world’s first contemporary luxury wellness destination,” caught my eye. Read on for the details.

Amrit Ocean will be a wellness development for residents and hotel guests.

Amrit Ocean Resort & Residences will rise from the pristine Atlantic shoreline of picturesque Singer Island, which lies nearly tip to tip with famed Palm Beach Island.  It will offer a secluded, natural setting for the pursuit of healthy, balanced living.

This property is being built to a five-star level and will be centered around a health and well-being theme. It will be comprised of two towers, the 19-story Tower P (Peace) and the 18-story Tower H (Happiness).

Amrit will have 351 units, of which 182 will be luxurious two-bedroom residences and the remainder will be hotel rooms. What I’m able to offer today is the opportunity to reserve one of the residences.

The pool will have cabanas, day beds and views of the Atlantic.

Amrit will span seven acres directly on the ocean with 300 front feet of pristine beach.

The services at Amrit will include 24-hour security, valet parking, access to maid service, restaurant and room service.

The concept for Amrit has been more than 10 years in the making.

Property History

Amrit is a Sanskrit word that translates to “elixir of life,” and this is what developer Dilip Barot had in mind when he first introduced the Amrit concept more than 10 years ago.  Before he could start construction, the real estate market crashed and Barot pulled the plug on his project, returning the deposits he had already taken.

After putting his dream on hold for a decade, developer Dilip Barot has now revived his oceanfront project focused on health and wellness. He is working with Creative Choice Group, a successful U.S.-based investment and development company in business since 1984.

Amrit has partnered with ESPA and the Himalayan Institute for its spa and holistic health offerings.

Additionally, the development team will collaborate with experts in spa and wellness, including ESPA, the world’s leading luxury spa innovator, and the Himalayan Institute, recognized worldwide as the authority on holistic health.

Amrit’s oceanfront restaurant will serve healthy cuisine.

Residence Features

The Amrit residences will all have private balconies, most with ocean views. They’ll have stone or wood flooring throughout. The kitchens will be custom designed with modern cabinetry, expansive stone countertops and upscale appliances.

The individual residences will feature contemporary designs and high-end finishes.

Master bathrooms will also have modern cabinetry as well as stone floors and walls, frameless glass-enclosed rain showers, soaking tubs and LED TV mirrors.

The spacious master baths will include dual vanities and designer soaker tubs.

A Picturesque Location

Singer Island offers a secluded, natural setting for the pursuit of mindful, balanced living. At Amrit, the clear warm waters offer opportunities for snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, boating and surfing.

Singer Island provides easy access to all the area’s attractions and amenities. It’s a short drive to:

• West Palm Beach with its many restaurants, entertainment and cultural arts.
• The island of Palm Beach, home to Worth Avenue, one of America’s most iconic retail streets.

Grand Opening Prices

Construction on Amrit began this past summer. It is expected to take approximately two years and be complete by the end of 2019.

The residences can be reserved now at grand opening prices (5% discount) through November 30, 2017. They range in size from 1,465 sq. ft. to 3,390 sq. ft., not including terrace space, and feature a variety of two-bedroom floor plans, some with dens.

The pre-discount prices for two-bedroom units start at $880,000. The expansive, penthouse units start at $2,400,000.

Live Well, Be Happy

Amrit isn’t the first property to focus on the health and wellness theme. Properties like Canyon Ranch Resorts have been successfully operating in that genre for years and even “The Biggest Loser” TV show has spun off The Biggest Loser Resort.

As for me, I’m content to keep walking on my treadmill and working on my yoga poses.
