Two EDITIONs, One Luxury Brand

Today I want to talk about a trend I’ve been seeing, one that’s developing quickly – the rise of branded residences. These stand-alone residential developments often have a hotel name tie-in, but unlike condo hotels, they don’t have any hotel component. They’re essentially traditional condos but with the amenities you’d see at a five-star hotel or resort.
The popularity of branded residences isn’t surprising. We live in a branded world. We seek association with brands we know that offer a premium product. Names like Ritz-Carlton and Four Seasons have a proven track record for first-class hospitality and amazing amenities, so why not offer that same extravagant lifestyle in a residential property?
Today I have for you two branded residences. They’re both EDITION Residences, which is a Marriott International luxury brand along with Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, W Hotels, The Luxury Collection, and JW Marriott properties.
One EDITION development is in downtown Miami and the other is in Fort Lauderdale. And both have condo residences that have just come on the market for sale. Read on for details.
EDITION Residences, Miami Edgewater

Located in the heart of Edgewater, one of Miami’s premier neighborhoods for luxury high-rise living, EDITION Residences will have direct access to Miami Baywalk, which will eventually connect with Riverwalk to form a four-mile, waterfront promenade. Together, Baywalk and Riverwalk will give Edgewater residents an incredible walking, jogging and biking path all the way to Brickell.
EDITION Residences will also be just steps from Margaret Pace Park, one of Miami’s most beautiful waterfront parks. And it will be close to Wynwood, the Miami Design District, Museum Park, beaches, and Miami International Airport.
With land in downtown Miami extremely limited, EDITION Residences will replace an existing building. Demolition will take place summer 2023 and construction of the EDITION should begin fall 2023, tentatively scheduled for completion toward the end of 2026.
The individual residences can be reserved now at pre-construction prices. They range in size from 1,952 sq. ft. to 3,815 sq. ft. Prices start at $1,700,000 and go up to $8,000,000+.
EDITION Residences, Fort Lauderdale
Roughly 28 miles north of Miami, overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway and just steps to white sand beaches, is EDITION Residences, Fort Lauderdale. It will be a boutique waterfront oasis with two 10-story buildings where 65 residents will enjoy exclusive, contemporary living.
The condos will have floor-to-ceiling windows and expansive private terraces featuring glass railings for unobstructed ocean, Intracoastal or city views. They’ll also have gourmet kitchens with top-of-line appliances, European custom cabinetry and quartz countertops. EDITION Residences Ft. Construction on EDITION Residences, Ft. Lauderdale is expected to begin in early 2023 with completion planned for summer 2025. Currently available are floor plans with two to four bedrooms, spanning 1,710 sq. ft. to 2,940 sq. ft. Prices range from $2,265,000 to $4,785,000.

Did you know the pineapple is considered a sign of friendliness and warm welcome? I didn’t until last month, when I attended a wedding with my family in Charleston, SC.
Everywhere we looked around town were signs and sculptures of pineapples. We learned that the pineapple came to Charleston from South America because of Charleston’s prominence as a port city. Fruits and other sweets weren’t very common in the colonial days, so the pineapple was a hit. It was an exotic, never-before-seen fruit and quickly became a symbol of hospitality.
We couldn’t resist taking a picture with this pineapple fountain, which we later learned was the symbol for the city. And I’m pleased to say that Charleston lived up to its image for southern hospitality. We had a great time.
