The private residence club consists of five historic buildings that once were thriving businesses selling chocolate, mustard and cocoa, but have since been renovated and upgraded.

The History of Ghirardelli Square

Since 1852 the Ghirardelli Chocolate Company has been located in the San Francisco area.   In 1895, in search of more space for the ever-expanding company, Ghirardelli Chocolate relocated to what is now Ghirardelli Square and the site of its flagship Ghirardelli Chocolate Ice Cream and Chocolate Shop.

Prices are for 1/10th ownership, which allows for a total of 35 days of use each year.  Visits can be as short as one night, and owners can choose any dates.  Flexibility is part of what makes fractional ownership so attractive.

Owners may also exchange their time to stay at any other Fairmont Heritage Place Residence Club, Fairmont Hotel, Raffles or Swissotel property.  They can also deposit up to two weeks per year into The Registry Collection, which offers access to over 400 global properties through the exchange program.
