Approximately 2,000 mega-yachts (vessels over 80 ft.) visit the destination each year. The city has more than 50,000 registered yachts, 100 marinas and over 300 miles of navigable waterways, which explains its nickname as the Venice of America.

Construction on Selene Oceanfront Residences is expected to begin in November 2021 and to be complete by early 2024. The condos have just come on the market at first-tier, pre-construction prices.
Choose from two- and three-bedroom residences, ranging in size from 1,791 to 4,010 sq. ft. Many floor plans include a spacious den or family room. Prices range from $899,000 to $4,099,000.

The Poor Man’s Yacht
As I mentioned at the top, Ft. Lauderdale is a boater’s paradise. Even if you don’t own a boat, you can enjoy the area’s waterways. There are deep sea fishing excursions; boats for rent by the day, week or month; and even the Water Taxi – or as my wife calls it when we’re aboard – the poor man’s yacht.
