Hi, it’s Joel Greene from Condo Hotel Center. I hope you and your family are healthy and doing fine during this challenging time.
Business as usual has become business as unusual as we all get used to staying at home. Because I’m fortunate to work out of an office in my home, the adjustment I’ve had to make has been minimal. Not so for my wife, Jackie, to whom I want to dedicate this write-up.
She, and the thousands of other healthcare workers throughout this country, are the heroes of this pandemic and deserve all the credit in the world for the many lives they’re saving every day.
I’ve asked Jackie, who works as a case manager in a large hospital, to write a few words about her experiences the past few weeks at the end of this Property Alert, so I hope you’ll continue reading.
But first, let me briefly tell you about a to-be-built property that’s just come on the market.

Solemar Pompano Beach will be a 21-story, all glass condominium with only 105 condo residences. The curvilinear-designed building will span about three acres with 250 linear feet of pristine oceanfront.
Solemar will be located in Pompano Beach, which sits along the coast of the Atlantic Ocean just to the north of Fort Lauderdale. The iconic architecture and exquisite design of the tower will offer incredible ocean views to the east and panoramic city views to the west.
The swimming pool will be on grade with the beach, so when you walk into the lobby, you look out straight through and see the pool and the ocean.

With lush landscaping throughout the property, Solemar will have resort-like amenities and services including:

Exquisite Features
The individual condos will range from 2,033 to 4,630 square feet and have large terraces that add another 300-900 square feet of private outdoor space.
They’ll feature modern open layouts, elegant fixtures, unforgettable ocean views and state-of-the-art conveniences.
Kitchens will have top-of-line ItalKraft Italian cabinetry, Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances, and waterfall countertops. Master baths will have marble floors and walls, high-end fixtures, contemporary finishes and deep soaking tubs.
Top-Notch Developers
The development team includes some of the largest and most prestigious names in residential real estate:
- Developer – The Related Group
- Architect – Arquitectonica
- Interior Designer – Meyer Davis
The condo docs state June 2021 as the date to begin construction, but that date could move up based on past experience with this development team. In their last project, Auberge Beach Residences & Spa in Ft. Lauderdale, they began construction with only 40% pre-sales instead of the 80% pre-sale number stated in their condo docs. Their go-date on Solemar is 75% pre-sales.
The construction completion date in the contract is 2024, but again, an earlier completion date is possible.

Most of the condos are two to three bedrooms, but there are several lanai and penthouse residences that go up to five bedrooms. Prices for the units start at $1,350,000.

As I mentioned at the top, I asked Jackie how COVID-19 has affected her work at the hospital.
In her own words…
“While many people have been forced to stay home, as a healthcare worker, I continue to go to work. With so much less traffic on the road, I tend to arrive early. To enter the hospital, we are required to get our temperature taken, and in the afternoon it’s taken a second time.
Protecting ourselves and our patients is the priority so wearing gloves, masks and even paper gowns have to be worn by all healthcare workers, from physicians and nurses to the housekeepers.
As if having a loved one in the hospital isn’t stressful enough, since the virus, family members are not allow to visit. Now, more than ever, it is necessary for healthcare workers to have daily communication with families. We do our best to assure them that all protective measures are in place and their loved ones are safe.
Individual needs are determined when it comes to helping transition patients home. Setting up home-care services is welcomed by many however, some prefer to return home without any ‘outside’ healthcare workers coming in.
