The Residences at Sunset Walk
Orlando Condo Hotel in a Master-Planned Community
Hello. Joel Greene here from Condo Hotel Center. I hope you and your family are doing well and had an enjoyable summer despite the challenges brought on by the pandemic.
Jackie and I just got back from a quick trip to New Orleans for a change of scenery. We expected it wouldn’t be as lively as usual but what we found was a bit surprising. I think we were the only ones there!
Here in Florida, we are seeing more businesses opening up but with safety measures in place. In Central Florida, the theme parks and attractions have all resumed operations, an encouraging sign.
Today’s featured property is a condo hotel to be built in Orlando. What makes it unique is that it will be part of a vast master-planned resort community. Read on for details.
Mixed-Use Resort Community
The Residences at Sunset Walk will be a condo hotel within the massive, billion-dollar, mixed-use, master-planned, Sunset Walk community. It will consist of 125 units spread out over two buildings with 60 residences in the first and 65 in the second.
The condo hotel will have its own lounge, food mart, sundries, pool and fitness center. It will also offer complimentary transportation to Disney, Universal Studios and SeaWorld Orlando.
The Sunset Walk community will encompass nearly 200,000 square feet of shopping, dining, entertainment and nightlife. It will also include Island H20, a 14-acre water park with 20 thrill rides, a wave pool, rafting and a lazy river.
Still to be determined, owners at Sunset Walk may also have access to the amenities at the adjacent Sunset Walk, including three restaurants, daily live music at two venues, three swimming pools, white sand beaches, walking trails, a playground and more.
A Fantastic Location
Sunset Walk is centrally located in Kissimmee-Orlando within 15 minutes of the Disney’s Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom theme parks. Also nearby are Disney’s other theme parks and ESPN Wide World of Sports, which is currently serving as “the bubble” for the NBA, as it finishes out its season.
Other attractions include SeaWorld Orlando, Aquatica Orlando, Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and Volcano Bay Water Park, not to mention hundreds of dining and shopping venues. Sunset Walk is also just 30 minutes from Orlando International Airport.
Rental Program
Because The Residences at Sunset Walk is a condo hotel, owners will have the opportunity to place their home in the rental program and have it rented for them when they are not using it. The revenue it generates can help offset the costs of vacation home owners.
In 2019, over 75 million visitors came to Orlando in 2019, making it the world’s #1 vacation destination and boding well for hotel occupancy rates.
Preconstruction Pricing
The condo hotel units at The Residences at Sunset Walk will include fully-furnished studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom floor plans. They range in size from 519 to 1,205 square feet. And prices start at $230,900, $295,900 and $435,900 respectively. The start and finish date for construction hasn’t yet been nailed down.
The buying process for The Residences is a bit unconventional although not unheard of. At this time, the developer is creating a priority wait list for the first building (only 60 units). It’s free to be placed on the wait list. It just ensures that you’ll get more information when it becomes available.
At some point, you’ll be asked for a refundable $500 deposit if you wish to proceed. You’ll be given a sequentially-issued reservation number.
On a specific date, expected to be on or near April 17-18, 2021, you’ll be able to participate in the Priority Selection Event and choose the condo hotel unit you want. The $500 will be returned to you at that time whether you purchase a unit or decide not to buy.

Fun in NAW-lins
Even though New Orleans was a ghost town, Jackie and I managed to enjoy ourselves in The Big Easy. We had Bourbon Street and the museums to ourselves. We hope to one day go back when things are a bit more lively.
Again, if you want more information on The Residences at Sunset Walk and development updates as they become available, request my data sheet.
Of course, if you’re looking for something else in a vacation home, I hope you’ll give me a call to find out what’s available.
As always, thanks for your interest in the properties I feature. Enjoy your day and try to do as they say in NOLA, “Let the good times roll.”
