Vie L’Ven Resort and Residences
Own a Caribbean Beachfront Vacation Home
Hello, Joel Greene here from Condo Hotel Center.
My family and I have been on many Caribbean cruises. We live less than 30 minutes from the Miami and Ft. Lauderdale ports, where many of the major cruise lines dock. That makes it easy for us to hop on a ship for a few days of R & R.
One of our favorite destinations of these cruises is St. Maarten. I enjoy the island’s beautiful beaches while Jackie and the girls love the duty-free shopping. I joke with Jackie that when I look at the price of a cruise, I need to remember to add in the cost of jewelry and designer handbags that somehow end up in our luggage on the way home.
Let me tell you a little more about the island and today’s featured property located in beautiful St. Maarten. Read on for details.

Contemporary Interior Design
The condos at Vie L‘Ven will be delivered meticulously furnished in a contemporary style and fully equipped with all accessories as well as many custom features.
The kitchen will have a top-of-line appliance package, pantry with signature details, and Corian countertops with matching backsplash. Every condo will also have its own washer and dryer.
One Island, Two Nations
Vie L’Ven is on the Dutch side of a 37-mile island shared by Holland and France. With its binational character, the country has a rare 350-year history of open borders, allowing people and goods to travel freely between its two nations.
The border is marked by the Monument of Concordia, named for the Treaty of Concordia signed in 1648 that certified the French and Dutch coexistence. “Concordia” is a Latin word meaning “harmony” or “agreement.”
Every year on November 11, International St. Martin’s Day, dignitaries from both sides come to this monument built in 1948 to underline the continued coherence of the two nations on one island.
St. Maarten has an abundance of natural beauty, ranging from its numerous beaches and rugged hills to calm shoreline, tropical forests and charming small towns. The waters surrounding the island contain shipwrecks, a sunken helicopter, cannons, and more to explore by scuba diving or snorkeling.
St Maarten is also a foodie paradise with lots of opportunities for tasting Caribbean favorites like Johnny cakes, callaloo soup and guava berry liqueur. The island also offers duty free shopping, which makes it a favorite stop for cruise ship passengers.
Nine airlines fly from the United States to St. Maarten. The most popular route is from Miami International Airport in Miami to Princess Juliana International Airport. The flight takes approximately three hours.
Construction Has Already Begun
The groundbreaking for Vie L‘Ven already took place in January 2024. Construction should be complete toward the end of 2027.
Buyer Incentive and Pricing
The developer is currently offering a credit of $5,000 up to $25,000, depending on the type of condo purchased. The credit can be used at the onsite restaurants, room service and shops.
Choose from a variety of one- and two-bedroom floorplans, ranging from 656 to 2,077 sq. ft. Prices range from $888,750 to $2,460,000. You can also add on a pool cabana for $100,000.

Did You Know…
St. Maartin is an interesting place. In researching Vie L ‘Ven, here are some of the remarkable facts I picked up:
- St. Maarten is the world’s smallest island shared by two countries. The Dutch side is 16 sq. miles, and the French side is 21 sq. miles.
- The Dutch and French have maintained an open border in St. Maarten since 1648, making it the world’s oldest open border.
- The two official currencies on St. Martin and Sint Maarten are the Euro on the French side and the Netherlands Antillean Guilder on the Dutch side. U.S. dollars are also accepted on both sides.
- Despite being shared by two countries, English is the mother tongue of the island.
- The capital of St. Maarten is Philipsburg, the only capital in the world located on a beach.
- St. Maarten holds the world record for having the most beaches, 37, relative to the island’s size.
Here’s one more interesting tidbit. Major airlines fly jets into St. Martin’s Princess Juliana International Airport, which results in spectacular photo ops of aircraft directly above sunbathers on Maho Beach. The tongue-in-cheek announcement made on flights as they approach is one you won’t hear elsewhere.
“Your seat cushions can be used for flotation. In the event of an emergency water landing, please paddle to shore, shake off your seat cushion and bring it into the terminal for us. Thank you.”
Again, if you could be interested in a Caribbean vacation home, request my Vie L‘Ven data sheet. Or, if there’s a different location that appeals to you, please give me a call. I have plenty of helpful information on what condo hotel and vacation home properties are available.
Have a nice day.
