Condo Hotel Unit Prices Start at $205,000

One of the questions I always ask when researching a new condo hotel property is, “What brand will it be?” Not every condo hotel is branded but it’s definitely a plus when the property will have a recognizable franchise name.
It implies quality assurance and increased occupancy rates because most hotel brands can advertise the property on their own global reservation system.
The featured property I have for you today is a branded condo hotel with a highly recognizable name. In fact, it is the world’s largest hotel franchisor by the number of properties, with approximately 9,200 hotels and 885,000 rooms across over 95 countries. Its newest property will soon be a condo hotel in the Dominican Republic. Read on for details.
Wingate by Wyndham
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts will soon develop the Wingate by Wyndham, a to-be-built, upscale condo hotel in Punta Cana, which is located on the eastern coast of the Dominican Republic. It’s a tropical paradise known for its white sand beaches, turquoise waters and vibrant local culture.
The condo hotel will have 5 stories, plus a 6th floor with a terrace and pool. The residences will consist of 86 suites – 81 studios and 5 one-bedroom suites.
The suites are being sold as individual condo hotel units, offering you the opportunity to own a vacation home in beautiful Punta Cana. Use your home when you’d like and place it in the Wyndham rental program to earn revenue when you’re not there.

Wingate by Wyndham will cater to both tourists and business travelers. It will offer a full host of amenities and services.

The suites at Wingate by Wyndham will provide a setting of luxury. They’ll each have a private terrace and a fully equipped kitchen with island. They’ll be delivered fully furnished and ready for use.
Professionally decorated, the suites will have an elegant style that blends contemporary elements with Caribbean touches. Select suites will have rooftop or ground floor private pools.
A Convenient Location
The Wingate is situated just minutes from shops, restaurants and area attractions:

- Supermarket: 2 minutes away
- Hospital: 5 minutes away
- Airport: 6 minutes away
- Beach: 10 minutes away
- Golf courses: 12 minutes away
- Restaurants: various styles and locations
Additionally, the town of Punta Cana is itself a world-class destination. Located at the easternmost tip of the Dominican Republic, it abuts the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. It’s a region best known for its 20-mile stretch of beaches and clear waters.
The Bávaro area and Punta Cana combine to form what’s known as La Costa del Coco, or the Coconut Coast, an area popular for zip-lining, windsurfing, kayaking, reef diving, whale-watching, sailing, and horseback and ATV riding.
Construction Schedule
Construction is expected to begin in June 2025 with completion scheduled for June 2027. To be clear, those dates are best estimates and are contingent on the date of Confotur certification by the Dominican Republic government.
Confotur is a tourism incentive law that grants foreign investors significant tax exemptions and residency benefits for their property purchase. More on this in a minute.
Surprisingly Affordable
Prices for the condo hotel units start at $205,000 for studios (409-566 sq. ft.) and $369,500 for one-bedroom suites (566 sq. ft.). There are also two-story, studio suites (566 sq. ft.) with rooftop terrace and private pool for $389,000.
The Confotur certification, which I mentioned earlier, gives foreign property owners 100% exemptions on their Dominican Republic property taxes, transfer taxes and income taxes on rental income for up to 15 years and will also be eligible for residency benefits.

2024 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival
Now that my girls are over the age of 21, they’ve made attending the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival in Orlando an annual event for us. This year, our third, we enjoyed sampling and sipping our way around the theme park.
You can enjoy tasty cuisines from around the globe, such as Liquid Nitrogen Frozen Sweet Potato Mousse and Macatizers (appetizers featuring macs and cheese) as well as signature drinks like Blood Orange Aqua Fresca and Bourbon Barrel-Aged Cabernet Sauvignon.
The EPCOT festival runs through November 30, 2024, so there’s still time for a visit. Just be sure to wear your walking shoes. The reason is hidden in the theme park’s name – Every Person Comes Out Tired.
